The Global Legal Entity Identifier Foundation (GLEIF) has opened an office in Mumbai, India, to support the growing demand for Legal Entity Identifiers (LEIs) in the region. India has become one of the top jurisdictions globally for LEI growth and renewals, a trend driven by proactive regulations from the Reserve Bank of India that promote trust and transparency in the financial ecosystem.
