The Global Legal Entity Identifier Foundation (GLEIF) has announced a new initiative with the Netherlands Chamber of Commerce (KVK) to provide global data users with direct access to official registry data within Legal Entity Identifier (LEI) records. This "linking" initiative adds dedicated URLs to LEI records of entities registered by KVK, offering direct access to their official registry data on the KVK website.

The collaboration aims to streamline due diligence processes like Know Your Customer (KYC) and Know Your Supplier (KYS) checks by making an organization's registry data immediately accessible via the Global LEI Index. This eliminates the need for global users to manually search for information, thereby enhancing transparency and efficiency in global transactions. Dutch businesses, especially small and medium enterprises (SMEs), will benefit from increased global discoverability and identifiability, aiding their expansion into new markets.
