The Global Legal Entity Identifier Foundation (GLEIF) and Qichacha (QCC) introduced the first open-source relationship file that matches a QCC Global Enterprise Identifier (QCC Code) assigned to an organization against its Legal Entity Identifier (LEI).

Established in 2014, QCC boasts an extensive database of more than 500 million legal entities in over 200 countries and regions and has become a trusted source for businesses, investors, and individuals seeking quick, complete, and accurate information about entities. The system aims to improve business information transparency and assist users in reducing potential commercial risks effectively.

The QCC Code-to-LEI relationship file is built upon a mapping process established by QCC and certified by GLEIF. GLEIF will publish open-source relationship files monthly, in CSV format, mapping both identifiers.

Certified mapping can particularly allow Chinese businesses listed on the QCC platform to realize greater identifiability and discoverability beyond China’s borders. This facilitates the establishment of data-driven, trusted business relationships – promoting international trade and supporting economic growth. It will also significantly benefit data users by streamlining regulatory reporting, compliance activities, and due diligence processes.
